Waynetown - William Henry Atkinson, 94, father of three Crawfordsville residents, died at 7:15 a.m. Monday in Odd Fellows Home, Greensburg where he had been for 10 years. He had been ill since August 6. Mr. Atkinson was a member of the Waynetown Odd Fellows Lodge of which he was chaplain at the time of his admission to the home. He has also served as a past noble grand of the Odd Fellows. Mr. Atkinson was born Dec 22, 1862, in Parke County, the son of two Quaker ministers, Thomas and Elizabeth Marshall Atkinson. He was married Dec 2, 1886 to Elizabeth Wonderly in Montgomery County, Kansas. He attended the Methodist Church while in Waynetown and was a member of the Quaker Church. For 45 years he was a farmer in this county. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. W. S. Taylor of Hugo, Oklahoma and Mrs. Susy Fine and Mrs. Elsie Cedars of Crawfordsville; one son, Luther Atkinson of Crawfordsville; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown, with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine in charge. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz

Waynetown -- Funeral services for William H. Atkinson, who d. in the Indiana Odd Fellows Home at Greensburg were Wed. afternoon at the Servies Funeral Home, Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiated. Organ music was played by Mrs. Mary Mullen. Special requested selections were Beyond the Sunset and Rock of Ages. Pallbearers were Ray Hampton, Lester Powell, George Simpson, Ralph Beard, joe Hatt and BD Rusk, all members of Waynetown IOOF [Independent Order of Odd Fellows] . They were also in charge of the flowers and were assisted by George M. Boone, WA Boone and GW Elless members of IOOF [Independent Order of Odd Fellows] Lodge 61, Ladoga. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
